What is a dental implant?
Dental implants are artificial tooth roots made from titanium. An “anchor” is placed into your jaw and positioned the same as a natural tooth. Then an artificial crown or ‘cap’ is placed on top of this “anchor” to secure the implant in place.
More comfortable than dentures, dental implants are cared for, and function like, your own natural teeth. Dental implants anchored by sufficient bone can last for many years, and has one of the highest success rates of any procedure performed in dentistry.
